From a young age, Robin was already on the ice. What started as a childhood love grew into a life dedicated to top-level sport. At 19, she left her parental home to fully focus on her skating career. She moved to Heerenveen, close to Thialf – the heart of Dutch speed skating.
In total, Robin stood on skates for over 20 years. The last few years revolved around performing at the highest level: skating, cycling, strength training, healthy eating, recovering – and on again. A rhythm that demanded discipline, passion and perseverance.
In June 2025, she decided to quit professional skating. One of the hardest choices of her life, but also a powerful one: it is time for a new chapter.
Today, Robin focuses on discovery. Sport remains her base, but with new interpretations. From Hyrox and running to strength training and looking back with her “skating sisters” Joy Beune and Pien Hersman – Robin shares her world full of energy, reflection and inspiration.
